Christ the Redeemer is one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World and a major symbol of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. Located at the top of Corcovado Mountain, which stands 700 meters tall, the 30-meter-high statue was designed by French sculptor Paul Landowski and built by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with French engineer Albert Caquot.
