Aquamarine crystals can reach remarkable sizes: the largest gem-quality crystal ever found weighed 110 kg and was discovered in Minas Gerais. The most famous faceted gem is the "Martha Rocha" aquamarine, weighing about 200 carats, currently at the National Museum of Natural History in Washington.
