About this calculator
The TV monthly energy consumption calculator estimates electricity use for your device. Enter the power in watts (from the manual or product label), daily usage hours, and days per month. Formula: (Watts × Hours/Day × 30) ÷ 1000 = kWh/month. This helps budget energy costs and compare energy-efficient models.
This tool is ideal for planning energy expenses, especially for long daily use or multiple devices. For example, a 150-watt TV used 5 hours/day consumes 22.5 kWh/month. Note that standby mode can still draw power even when turned off.
For accurate results, use the exact wattage of your device, which varies based on content. LED TVs are typically more efficient than LCD or CRT. The calculator excludes additional devices like speakers or set-top boxes, which should be calculated separately.
