The calculation considers the total window width, the gather factor (which defines the curtain's fullness), and the width of each panel available in the market. The result is rounded up to the nearest whole number, ensuring you have enough fabric for a good finish.

Operation is simple: enter the window width in centimeters, choose the gather factor (recommended 2 for standard curtains, 2.5 for medium fullness, and 3 for very full curtains), and enter the panel width you intend to buy (usually 140 cm, 280 cm, or 300 cm). The calculator then applies the formula: panels = ceil(window width × gather factor / panel width). The result avoids excess or shortage of fabric.
